The denotation of this advert is 50 Cent using a quote to advertise a sport-related company. The connotation of this is that he is trying to relate with the customers by quoting how he has lived life. Also, that it says "I am what I am" shows that he will not change for nothing. Another connotation would be the quote; it can show that you should live in the moment and go buy shoes from rebook. The copy of the text is that it shows that it is directly aiming this at the audience. This is known as the direct mode of address. The font is traditional which shows an element of power because it gives the sense that the company has been there for a long time so it will always be reliable. Furthermore, this typography  also shows some type of dominance because of it bold and standing out print. The colour  of this is monochrome giving the advert a dramatic like effect and making you focus more on the specific subject rather than the colors. Also, this effects also, The

1) What type of text is it?    --> The type of text is an advertisement. 2) How do you know? What are the key conventions that allowed you to identify the text? 3) In your opinion, who is the target audience for this media text? 4) How would this audience access the text? E.g. where/when would they consume it? Using what device?    --> I know this is an advert because it has a bold writing and an image and a deal to promote its company.    --> The target audience is everyone because it is  a savory shop which satisfies everyone needs. --> The audience would see this text through the TV and different types of electronics and when they are walking down the streets. 5) What values, ideologies and beliefs in society are reinforced or challenged in this media text? --> one value is that it is price affordable which is what customers are most attracted to. Also, it is convenient so it an everyday shop you would walk passed. Reinforcing 
Media Consumption Audit     Newspapers : Which daily newspapers (if any) do you read? -  No, but if I were to choose a newspaper it would be Metro What sections of newspapers do you turn to first, and why?-  would turn to the sections that take about jobs and adverts and on Thursday  grab a coupon for Mcdonalds and any other shop that is available. What sections do you never read, and why?- The section about recent events. This is because it is long and it can get boring after a while. What kinds of stories do you usually read and why?- I do not really read stories but if I did I would read the stories about anything local that's happening Do you, or someone else, buy the newspaper you read?- I don't buy newspapers, they are usually free and can be grabbed at stations. Do you look at the online versions of any newspapers? Which newspapers? Why do you visit their website and not others - I don't look at any online versions of newspapers, because I am not
