--> This article is about the American president Donald Trump who the Russian former general warns people about. He claims that Trump is ruining global stability. Furthermore, that Trump is about to cause a second Cuban Missile Crisis. The Cuban Missile crisis has to lead to Cuba not being about to have any freedom. They live off technology from back in the 1960s. This has been triggered after NATO and the USA have claimed that Russia has violated their treaties. This is an example of hard news as it includes current affairs.

--> The audience appeals that can be applied to this story is Blumler and Katz uses and gratifications theory. One appeal would be surveillance this is because it provides information about what currently going on with politics international. Another theory used is the two step flow. how influenced by the leaders to the consumers.

--> This story reflects the values and ideologies of the newspaper because Mail online is politically conservative and right wing. Mail online reporting on a story that has to doing with Trump is something the audience would expect because they appeal more to the ABC1 category. This will be an example of quality journalism because its very detailed and specific in what they show and give off.
