--> This story is about a boxer named Yarde who had made it to a special boxing event. This is a huge event because it launches your career as a boxer. Further more, Yarde making it into this event means that he will be fighting someone and taking part of a boxing match. This is an example of soft news because it's sports. Sports is seen as a form of entertainment.
  • Explain how or why this story appeals to an audience (use media terminology and theory here).
--> The audience appeal that can be applied to this story is Blumler and Katz uses and gratification theory. Surveillance is one of them because it provides information about the boxing matches and secret events. You could also say personal identity because it can inspire people to work hard for they're dreams.
  • Comment on the story: to what extent does it reflect the values and ideologies of the website? Is this an example of quality journalismor simply clickbait? 
--> This is a example of quality journalism because it's something that is important. It's not a story that people would generally be interested because the title is not intriguing. This does reflect the ideologies and values of the website because it represents black people.

1) Why did Laura Bates start the Everyday Sexism project? --> Laura Bates started the Everyday Sexism project to rise awareness in sexism which happens everyday without people actually realising. She started the project after she was sexually harassed, verbally abused and experiencing sexism everyday. 2) How does the Everyday Sexism project link to the concept of post-feminism?
